Dr mags is very understanding and explains everything in detail and layman language.
I was diagnosed with autoimmune Hepatitis and I don’t drink alcohol.
Felt very poorly and was admitted to Stoke Mandeville as inpatient Ward 17 for 10days.
Met Dr Maggs when I was back home..
I have to say through him I’m a new person. Recovering and getting gradually back to my former self. Can’t thank DrMaggs enough. I would also like to thank Dr Hayley Hart who has liased with me by phone and kept me positive.
Dr. Maggs was so kind and understanding, especially as I was so anxious. It was my first appointment at Wycombe Hospital. He was very good at tying all the loose ends of various appointments at different hospitals and putting them all in one place, which was so helpful.
I left feeling that he actually cared about his patients and gave as much time as I needed to talk over things.
Definitely would highly recommend him.
I’m not one to exaggerate, but what I am about to say may seem a little OTT.
Dr.Maggs saved my life.
They say one has to hit rock bottom to get back up, and I certainly was at that point. There were too many occasions I genuinely thought I wouldn’t come out of hospital alive. Friends and family have since admitted they had felt the same.
He was wonderful, supportive and generous with his time. I never once felt rushed or like just another of his patients.
Whilst being knowledgable, he was the absolute opposite of condescending. There were moments I felt I was talking to my best friend rather than a medical professional.
My heart lifted every time he walked onto the ward, like having your mum giving you a hug and reassuring you that you were in good hands and that if we worked together things could not only get better, they could be amazing.
Since leaving hospital I have rebuilt my life, started a new job, built bridges with people and now look after myself better than ever before.
I do it for me, my family and friends and equally Dr.Maggs.
He truly is one of life’s most amazing people.
I am under Dr Maggs care at Wycombe Hospital for Crohns Disease. He listens to me and explains everything in great detail. I feel that i am well looked after by Dr Maggs and he is interested in my condition and i know that he wants to help make me better. Nothing is ever a problem to him, he is kind and can also bring a bit of humour into my appointment and that puts me at ease. His secretaries are very helpful too.
Dr Maggs explains everything, is patient, does what he says he is going to do and is very kind. The perfect consultant. I feel very safe under his care.
